What is asbestos?
Asbestos is a naturally occurring fibrous material which was favoured as a building material between the 1950's and the late 1990's for its strength, fireproof and insulating properties.
Asbestos comes in all shapes, sizes and colours. The three main types are white, brown and blue asbestos, which were used in countless building products, some of which are highlighted in the below images.
Asbestos may be present in any building, domestic or commercial built before 2000. Exposure to damaged or degrading asbestos containing products can be fatal. We are able to survey your property and take samples of any suspected asbestos containing material and then analyse these samples in our laboratories so you will be hundred percent sure of whether or not asbestos is present.
